Last but not least of the Cinque Terre towns is Mo Last but not least of the Cinque Terre towns is Monterosso al Mare 🌊. Monterosso al Mare is the furthest north & largest of the Cinque Terre towns 🌆. The village is split into 2 sections: the old town, i.e. Paese Vecchio 🏘️ & the more modern Fegina, where you’ll find Cinque Terre’s only real sandy beach 🏝️. Here are some things to do while you’re in Monterosso al Mare: 🏖️ Book some chairs & relax on Fegina Beach 🏰 Climb up to Torre Aurora, 1 of the 3 remaining defensive towers ⛪️ Admire the 14th-century Chiesa di San Giovanni Battista, which has unique black & white stripes, unlike any other church in Cinque Terre 🗿 Visit “il Gigante”, i.e. the Giant, one of the most unique statues in Cinque Terre 🥾 Hike one of the trails between Monterosso & Vernazza 🛶 Go on a kayak or boat tour 🍤 Try Ristorante Belvedere, Miky, or Trattoria da Oscar for traditional seafood 🍨 Have gelato at Il Golosone or Gelateria La Scogliera 🍋 Monterosso al Mare is also famous for its lemon trees, white wines, grapes & olives, so be sure to try some of these while you’re here too! Vernazza is set around Cinque Terre’s only natur Vernazza is set around Cinque Terre’s only natural harbor 🌊 & is said to be one of the most beautiful of the Cinque Terre towns & one of the “truest fishing villages” on the Italian Riviera 🎣. Vernazza is a fortified town with evidence of its existence going back as early as 1048 🗓️. Although Vernazza still has strong, centuries-old fishing, wine & olive oil production industries, the main source of the town’s revenue is tourism 🧳. Here are some things to do while you’re in Vernazza: 🏰 Explore the remains of the 11th century Doria Castle, a tower built for defensive purposes, specifically against pirates 🏊‍♀️ Find a quiet spot on the rocks at Vernazza Harbor & swim in the Ligurian Sea ⛪️ Visit the 13th-century Church of Santa Margherita di Antiochia, which boasts a mix of Gothic-Ligurian style & classic Renaissance architecture ⛪️ Admire the Chapel of Santa Marta, a tiny stone chapel along Vernazza’s main street, Via Roma 🍞 Try focaccia at Pizzeria Fratelli Basso 🍤 Taste local seafood at La Torre, Gambero Rosso or Gianni Franzi 🍨 Try gelato at Alberto Gelateria or Gelateria Vernazza 🍽️ Have dinner & watch the sunset from the outdoor patio at Ristorante Belforte Have you been to Cinque Terre 🇮🇹? Wishing I was back in Cinque Terre enjoying a love Wishing I was back in Cinque Terre enjoying a lovely wine tasting @terrarossacorniglia on this Monday🍷! Corniglia is the smallest & quietest of the Cinque Terre towns 🌆. It’s unique in that the houses are lower set than the other villages 🏘️ & since it sits on top of a hill, rather than on the waterfront, it’s not directly accessible from the sea 🌊. From the train station 🚉, you’ll climb the Scalinata Lardarina, a long, zigzagging staircase with nearly 400 steps that lead to Corniglia’s panorama terrace 🥵. The climb is totally worth it though because you’ll be rewarded with breathtaking views of the sea & the other 4 towns from this spot 💯. Here are some things to do in Corniglia: 🗺️ Follow the Via Fieschi to La Torre viewpoint for stunning coastal views of Manarola ⛪️ Visit the Chiesa di San Pietro, a 14th-century, Gothic style church ⛪️ Go inside the Oratorio dei Disciplinati di Santa Caterina, a tiny chapel with its ceiling painted like the sky 🍷 Do a wine tasting or pairing - Corniglia is surrounded by vineyards & is one of the best places to do this 🥂 Have an aperitivo at Bar La Terza Terra 🍨 Try gelato made from local honey (miele di Corniglia) at Alberto Gelateria or Gelateria Corniglia 🍽️ Eat at one of Corniglia’s popular restaurants like Pan e Vin, KM0, Cantina De Mananan, or Ristorante La Posada 🥾 Hike the 3.4 miles from Manarola to Corniglia via Volastra & descend through ancient terraces with incredible views of the Mediterranean 🥾 Hike the 2.2 miles from Corniglia to Vernazza & stop at the charming Bar Il Gabbiano in Prevo, a tiny hamlet of Vernazza, for a refreshing lemon granita Have you been to Cinque Terre 🇮🇹? Centered around its marina, with mostly bright & c Centered around its marina, with mostly bright & colorful houses 🌆, Manarola is the second smallest of the Cinque Terre towns & one of the most picturesque 📸. We hiked from Riomaggiore to Manarola & had beautiful panoramic sea views along the way 🌊! Although the towns are close together, they’re separated by a steep mountain ⛰️, making sections of the trail that we did quite challenging 🥾. At the time of our visit, the shorter Path of Love that connects the two was closed, but as of a couple weeks ago, it has reopened 🙌! Here are some things to do in Manarola: 🗺️ Head to the Punta Bonfiglio viewpoint, which overlooks the harbor & offers one of the most iconic Cinque Terre views (this is also a great sunset spot!) 🏊‍♀️ Jump & swim off the stone jetties 🛍️ Shop on Via Renato Birolli ⛪️ Visit the medieval, Gothic Ligurian-style Church of San Lorenzo 🔔 Stop at the Torre Campanaria (bell tower) & the scenic viewpoint next to it 🍷 Enjoy some local wine tasting 🍽️ Have lunch, dinner or an aperitif at Nessum Dorma or Il Porticciolo Have you been to Cinque Terre 🇮🇹? One of the best ways to end your day in Cinque Ter One of the best ways to end your day in Cinque Terre is by watching the sunset 🌅 & Riomaggiore has one of the best spots to do so 🙌! Watching the sunset from the breakwater in front of the harbor in Riomaggiore is a magical experience ✨. From here, you’ll have lovely sea views, as well as a view of some of Riomaggiore’s charming, colorful houses 🌆. You might even want to bring along some fritto misto, a lemon granita, or a takeaway pizza to snack on while you watch 🍕! This spot can get very crowded though, so be sure to get there early ⏰. Riomaggiore is the southernmost, one of the larges Riomaggiore is the southernmost, one of the largest, & our favorite of the Cinque Terre towns 🙌. It dates back to the early 13th century & is known for its brightly painted houses, historic character, & narrow, maze-like streets 🏘️. All of Riomaggiore’s major attractions are walkable🚶‍♀️, & strolling the main street, Via Colombo, which is lined with restaurants, bars & shops, is a great place to start 🤗. Here are some other things to do here 📝: ⛪️ Visit the Gothic-style Church of San Giovanni Battista & admire the views from the piazza 🌄 Watch a sunset from the breakwater in front of the harbor 🏰 Visit the 13th-century Riomaggiore Castle ruins for breathtaking views of the town & sea (this is another great sunset spot!) 🐟 Try some fritto misto, which is a cone of fried fish (including sardines!), at Il Pescato Cucinato 🍋 Try a Lemon Granita Have you been to Cinque Terre 🇮🇹? New week, new travel series! 🤗 📍 Location: New week, new travel series! 🤗 📍 Location: Cinque Terre, Italy Cinque Terre is a group of centuries-old seaside villages, perched on the dramatic coastline of the Italian Riviera, just north of Pisa, Italy 🇮🇹. The villages include Riomaggiore, Manarola, Corniglia, Vernazza and Monterosso al Mare & it’s possible to visit all of them in 2 days 🙌! Each of the villages boasts cute, colorful houses, steep, terraced vineyards, lovely harbors, & trattorias serving delicious seafood specialties 😋. The 5 villages, the coastline & the surrounding hillsides, are all part of the Cinque Terre National Park, which was deemed a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997 🗺️. Located behind Pitti Palace 👑, these lush, Italian-style gardens were originally designed for the Medici family in the late 1500s 🇮🇹 & served as the prototype for many other European Royal gardens, in particular, Versailles 🇫🇷. As you walk through the maze of green, serene pathways, Renaissance statues & fountains ⛲️, you’ll feel like you’re exploring a huge, open-air museum 🤩. Be on the lookout for the Fountain of Neptune & the Fountain of the Ocean 🌊, & be sure to take in the gorgeous views of Florence along the way 📸. One of our favorite activities in Florence was exp One of our favorite activities in Florence was exploring Pitti Palace 🏰. The palace was commissioned in 1457 by Florentine banker Luca Pitti & purchased in 1550 by the Medici family as the new Grand Ducal residence 👑. In the late 18th century, it was used as a base by Napoleon & later as the royal palace of the newly united Italy 🇮🇹. Over the years, several generations have amassed paintings, silver, jewelry & other items that visitors can admire while exploring the palace’s opulent interiors 💎. And, the palace is now the largest museum complex in Florence, divided into 5 museums: 💵 Treasury of the Grand Dukes ⛪️ Museum of Russian Icons (with the Palatine Chapel) 🛏️ Imperial and Royal Apartments 🎨 Gallery of Modern Art 👗 Museum of Costume & Fashion Here’s some other info for your visit: ⏰ Hours: Tuesday - Sunday from 8:15 am - 6:30 pm (closed on Mondays) 🎟️ Cost: €17 or €23 for the Combined Pitti & Boboli ticket ⏱️ Time to Visit: 1 hour Would you add Pitti Palace to your Florence itinerary 📝? Happy first day of summer ☀️! Florence is one Happy first day of summer ☀️! Florence is one of my favorite summer destinations ✈️ & no visit to Florence is complete without a visit to the incredible Duomo Complex ⛪️. Home to the world-renowned Florence Cathedral, or more simply, the Duomo, the Duomo Complex also includes Giotto’s Bell Tower, the Baptistery of San Giovanni, Santa Reparata & the Opera del Duomo Museum 🗺️. The Brunelleschi Pass is €30 & gives you access to all of the monuments & a Dome climb 🎟️. Ticket validity starts from the date selected for the Dome climb & you can visit the remaining monuments within 3 calendar days from that date 📆. If you plan to do all of the monuments in the same day, it’ll take at least 4-5 hours ⏰. I recommend starting at Giotto’s Bell Tower at opening time 🔔, as it tends to get very crowded & involves climbing a narrow set of steps (so you won’t want to get stuck behind too many people or do this & the Dome climb back-to-back) 🥵. Next, visit the Opera del Duomo Museum, which also gets crowded quickly, then get in line for the Main Floor of the Cathedral, which opens later than the bell tower & museum & will also take you to Santa Reparata 🧱. Since your Dome time is scheduled, you can do that last - just be sure to show up on time ⏱️! XOXO Sara
If this is your first time in Florence, a visit to If this is your first time in Florence, a visit to the Piazzale Michelangelo is a must 🇮🇹! This stunning square is located in the Oltrarno district & offers incredible views of some of Florence’s major landmarks 🤩, as well as the Settignano & Fiesole hills in the distance ⛰️. It’s also one of the best places in the city to watch the sunset 🌆. We visited the Piazzale Michelangelo during a 1-hour Florence: Eco-Friendly Golf Cart City Tour that we booked through @getyourguide 🗺️. This was a fun way to see some of the city’s highlights without having to walk to all of them 🙌! Note that because we were with the tour, we weren’t able to stay at the piazza for sunset 🌄. We’ll just have to go back sometime to do that 🤗! Another must-see in Dubai is the Dubai Fountain sh Another must-see in Dubai is the Dubai Fountain show 💯. With 6,000 lights, 25 colored projectors & 22,000 gallons of airborne water, Dubai Fountain is the world’s largest performing fountain ⛲️. It sits on the 30-acre Burj Lake & is choreographed to various songs 🎶, ranging from classical to contemporary Arabic & world music in a mesmerizing water, music & light show ✨. A fun way to experience the Dubai Fountain show is by boat 🛶. We booked the ‘Dubai: Burj Khalifa Fountain Show & Burj Lake Ride’ through @getyourguide & had front row seats to the show 🤩! Before the show, we also got to cruise around for about 20 minutes in an ‘abra’, i.e. a traditional, wooden water taxi, from which we could see some of the city’s most iconic monuments, like the Burj Khalifa, Souk Al Bahar, & the Palace Downtown 🌆. I’d recommend watching the fountain show several times during your trip & taking the boat tour at least once to get the full experience 🤗! XOXO Sara

Situated in Business Bay, @radissonbluhoteldubaicanalview is the perfect place to stay when visiting Dubai 🌆. The hotel offers gorgeous canal & city views 🤩, awesome facilities, including an outdoor swimming pool, fitness center & spa, on-site restaurants, free private parking, super friendly staff, & a great location 💯. The hotel is walkable to Dubai Mall, Burj Khalifa, & some of Dubai’s other most popular attractions 🚶‍♀️ & is easily accessible to other parts of the city via Uber or cab 🚕. We chose to stay here, as it was more affordable than some of the other hotels we’d looked at 💵 & since some of the excursions we’d planned wouldn’t pick up from other parts of the city due to traffic 🚦. When we arrived, we were greeted with an upgrade to a room with an incredible city view 🙌! During our stay, we ate at the BAI Bar & Terrace, which offers great views & of course, delicious food 😋, & took advantage of the hotel’s rooftop pool for an afternoon 🏊‍♀️. All in all, we were pleasantly surprised by our stay here & happy with our last minute decision to switch hotels 🏨! Would you consider staying here 🤔?
