In reply to Linda (LD Holland). Monument Valley is a bit of a hike from Page, but we were able to visit both in one day! I'd recommend staying over night in the Monument Valley area so that you can explore early in the morning before it gets too crowded.

I can’t believe we never visited Monument Valley when we stayed in Page. I am sure we saw it off in the far distance but we did not get close enough for such a great view. I would definitely consider a visit to enjoy the great sunset. A great reason to head back to Page.

In reply to Erika. We got lucky (and got there early enough), so there was essentially no wait when we arrived! We also visited in November, which is a less popular time of year. Hope you can visit soon!

Visiting the national parks in Utah are high on my bucket list. Now I have one more destination to add. I’d love to take the drive through Monument Valley and see the rock formations for myself.
