We actually visited Amsterdam (for the first time for me!) earlier this year, and I think I preferred Frankfurt believe it or not. Römerberg is so cute, and we had such a fun time trying the restaurants and wine bars here. I think Amsterdam may have been too hyped for me, whereas I wasn’t expecting much from Frankfurt and was very pleasantly surprised, haha.

I’ve been to Amsterdam and had great memories and we’ve both been dying to show the other. We are now adding one more stop to our Europe trip next year and we’ve been going back and forth between the two. Your post just sealed the deal – we’re heading to Frankfurt! 🙂 Ugh so excited now!

We didn’t find Frankfurt to be too pricey compared to many other European cities! We also did some free activities, which helps offset travel costs!

My thoughts exactly! I’ve flown through Frankfurt so many times and never considered staying here for longer, but we enjoyed using Frankfurt as a home base and realized it’s well worth exploring!
